Max de Wardener / Music Packaging

Using striking artwork from North American artist Penelope Umbrico we designed the 180g vinyl LP gatefold, CD and follow-up 'Reworked' album for Max de Wardener's latest release on Village Green Recordings. This album Draws inspiration from modernist composers James Tenney, Harry Partch and La Monte Young, de Wardener’s intentions here were “to try and bend something established and monumental into something new”. 

Penelope Umbrico’s project: 'Range: of Masters of Photography', employs smartphone camera apps to make new photographs of images of the oldest, most stable, object that appears in canonical photographs – the mountain.
